Collection: Headphones & Headsets

Headsets and headphones for offices, contact centres, hybrid meeting rooms and home workers — wired USB, Bluetooth and DECT models from Jabra, Logitech, Poly and Dell.

Buy the certification, not just the headset

If your organisation runs Microsoft Teams or Zoom, look for a model certified for it. Certification is not marketing: it means the mute button, answer/end control and presence light are wired into the application properly, so muting on the headset actually mutes in the call and the busy light reflects real call state. An uncertified headset will pass audio perfectly well and then fail in exactly the small ways that annoy people every day. Note that many models ship in separate MS and UC variants — the MS version is tuned for Teams, the UC version for everything else — so pick the right one at the point of order.

Wired, Bluetooth or DECT

Wired USB never needs charging and never drops — the correct choice for a fixed contact-centre position. Bluetooth suits hybrid workers who move between a laptop and a phone, though range is limited and a charge cycle has to fit the working day. DECT gives far greater range on a dedicated wireless band, which matters for anyone who takes calls while walking the building.

Mono or stereo, and how much noise cancellation

A mono headset leaves one ear open and is preferred in contact centres where colleagues need to hear each other. Stereo with active noise cancellation is right for concentration in open-plan and for noisy environments. The microphone matters more than the speakers for call quality: a boom arm positioned near the mouth consistently outperforms an in-line or integrated mic, and noise-cancelling microphones are what stop an open-plan office being audible to the customer.

Fleet considerations

Standardise on as few models as possible — it simplifies spares, ear cushions and user support. Check whether the model uses a replaceable cushion and cable, because those wear out long before the headset does and replacing them is far cheaper than replacing units.
